A new invention to
store and reproduce sound is made by Dutch Philips and the good thing
is it is digital
so the sound of your CD's
supposedly will not wear after many hours of listening pleasure.
The silver Ø 3"
/ 7,5 cm (single) and 5"/ 12,5 cm (album) discs are known as
Compact Disc
or CD.
It took RCA-Victor
quite some time before they started to re-release Elvis' LP catalogue
on CD whereby the first ones have the awful electronic
stereo a.k.a.
mono reprocessed for stereo
sound!
